Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British 30s and WWII army cooperation and liaison aircraft Westland Lysander.

Matchbox tooled this kit in 1972, at the time it was in competence with older FROG and Airfix kits, that also were retooled in the mid 70s. The hobbyists community had to wait till 2019 when Dora Wings launched a new tool of the Westland Lysander in 1/72 scale. Of the three old Lysanders, Matchbox, Airfix and FROG, the Matchbox one is probably the best kit though the exaggerated engraved panel lines. Some other hobbyists may prefer the FROG one, but in general Matchbox offered better detail. Of course any of them can compete with the latest Dora Wings kit.

The Matchbox kit was issued one time by Revell as code number 00001 of the Revell Classics series.

The kit kept the same decal sheet during its life, including two RAF markings, one for each version, Mk.II or Mk.III.
