The project Me 509 had been developer out of the Me 309. The main change was in transfer of the engine to the point of balance. The propeller of the Me 509 was run by a shaft, that was settled underneath the pilot seat. After the striking off the Me 309 in 1944 there had also been stopped the development of the Me 509. Approximately at the same time has begun the development of the engine of the same conception in Japan in Yokosuka company.
