Henschel Hs 126 B/K “International”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WW2 Henschel Hs 126 Observation aircraft in foreign service.

The kit includes and interesting decal with 4 markings for Soviet Union, Estonian, Greek and RAAF.

The Greek marking belongs to the 3 Observation Mira, which in 1940 at the start of the Greco-Italian war, registered the first casualties of the Royal Hellenic Air Force in the conflict, when 2 of 3 HS 126 were shot down in October 30 in a reconnaissance mission to locate Italian columns.

Estonian had purchased some of them, and once Estonia was occupied by Soviet Union, those planes passed to Soviet Union.

The 4th making, RAAF, is probably an ex-Greek aircraft, but we don’t have details.
