Special Hobby – 72498 – Gloster Meteor Mk.4 “RAF and KLu”

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British Gloster Meteor jet fighter aircraft, the first British Jet and the only Allied jet to engage in operations during the WWII. Variant F.4 (or Mk.4 As Special Hobby denotes) started production at the very end of the WWII and was widely exported to countries such Argentina (50 aircraft), Belgium (48 aircraft), Denmark (20 aircraft), Egypt (12 aircraft) or the Netherlands (38 aircraft).

Special Hobby has a quite long list of Gloster Meteor kits released, but the history of these molds is even bigger considering they were produced by MPM Productions and widely released by other brands such Xtrakit, Airfix, Revell and others, many times updates in parts to depict the different variants of the Gloster Meteor. This kit is a reissue with a new decal sheet of kit Special Hobby – 72361 – Gloster Meteor Mk.4 “World Speed Record”, including now a decal sheet with 4 markings, 3 British markings and one Royal Netherlands Air Force (Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu) in Dutch).
