Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of an Aero A.12, a Czechoslovakian biplane light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft manufactured in small numbers shortly after World War I. The design was the basis for the later (and very successful) Aero A.11.

Special Hobby does here the inverse way to the real aircraft design, they developed the Aero A.11 kits in 2022, and one year later, 2023 and changing some parts of the original kit, released this Aero A.12 model.

Kit includes 5 markings for five (Czechoslovak) planes which took part in the Second Air Speed Race for the Trophy of the President of the Czechoslovak Republic in 1924, one of them converted to single seat saving some weight. Kit includes also a 3D printed part. As happens with other aircrafts of the time or World War I, you need to add the ridging by yourself, commonly on wings, tail and undercarriage. Instructions sheet detail the position and which was the original composition and appearance of this ridging in a quite proper way, though beginners will still find this step problematic.
