Special Hobby – SH72506 – Dornier Do-27H-2 “Three Blade Propeller”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German Dornier Do 27, a small STOL (short takeoff and landing) utility aircraft developed in the 50s. Dornier developed this aircraft in their Spanish facilities and as per requirements of the Spanish army for a light utility aircraft with good STOL capabilities. Design proved to be a successful, robust and trustable aircraft that was well exported and had a long life time in service.

Update of the 2018 tooled kit Special Hobby – 72327 – Dornier Do 27 “German, Spanish and Belgian Service” with new parts and new decal sheet.

Different variants were build with a three blade propeller but the kit depicts Do 27H-2 variants, a six seat variant initially developed for the Swiss Air Force, powered by a 254 kW (340 hp) Avco Lycoming GSO-480 piston engine.

Decal sheet include three markings, one Swiss, one Turkish and one civilian private ownership German marking. Kit include a small PE (photo-etched) detail sheet.
