Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Douglas A-1 Skyraider, a piston-engine, single-seat attack aircraft developed during World War II and used extensively by the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force from the late 1940s through the Vietnam War. Originally designed as the XBT2D-1, the Skyraider evolved into a rugged, versatile aircraft known for its ability to carry heavy ordnance loads and provide close air support. Its large fuel capacity and long endurance made it a valuable asset in both Korean and Vietnam War operations.

Among the notable variants, the AD-3 introduced improvements over earlier versions, including a reinforced airframe, a strengthened landing gear for better carrier operations, and modifications to avionics and electrical systems. The AD-4, a further refinement, became one of the most produced versions, featuring an upgraded Wright R-3350-26W engine with water injection for increased power, improved cockpit instrumentation, and better armor protection. It was also adapted for various roles, including night attack and early electronic warfare configurations. The AD-4 series included the AD-4NA, optimized for ground attack with reduced carrier equipment, and the AD-4W, an airborne early warning variant with a large radar dome. These incremental upgrades helped solidify the Skyraider’s reputation as a durable and adaptable attack aircraft, capable of serving in multiple combat roles.

Kit include decal sheet with 4 markings, 2 for the AD-3 and 2 for the AD-4 variant, all of them belonging to the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1952:
