McDonnell Douglas AH-64 A Apache

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopter developed since mid 70s and entered service in 1986. Initial develop was started by Hughes Helicopters, continued by McDonnell Douglas and nowadays by Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Remain in service and production as per 2022, with around 2500 units produced.

Original Revell kit tooled in 1990 (Revell 04487) and released under Matchbox brand with new decals in 1992. Matchbox chosen an IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) marking for its release.

After the Matchbox release the kit was never released again even by Revell, a sign of a wrong kit or a terrible fate for the mould. Revell tooled later a snap-fit AH-64 Apache kit and is the only they released over the years more times for a so popular subject in the hobby.
