Merkava I

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of an Israeli self produced Merkava I main battle tank, introduced in 1979 and in service yet through updates, current series is Merkava V still in development.

Merkava I is fitted with a  105 millimeter M64 L71A main gun and saw service for first time in Lebanon war in 1982, and after it, the next year, started the upgrades to Merkava II series to correct the flaws exposed in combat in the Lebanon experience.

Ex ESCI kit, tooled in 1988. Italeri kit updated decals, which include 3 IDF markings.
