Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. M1 57mm AT gun, a variant of the British Ordnance QF 6-pounder AT gun.

U.S. army introduced the type in 1942 and was produced till 1945, it quickly replaced the 37mm Gun M3.

When U.S. forces withdrew from South Korea in 1949 some more than a hundred M1s were passed to Korean army, but they proved to be ineffective in the later war.

Kit is pretty straight, only plastic parts without PE. Cast looks clan and the amount of detail is high for a small model like an AT gun. There is no decal sheet but instructions sheet suggest three paint schemas, two for U.S. forces in the later WWII (1944-1945) and one ROK (South Korean Army) dated 1950. Model can be constructed either in firing or transport position.

As the real model, ACE derives this kit from ACE – 72563 – Ordnance QF 6-pounder Mk.II/Mk.IV and reuses one of the sprues here.
