ACE – 72592 – COE (CabOverEngine) refueler truck m.1939

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Ford COE (Cab over engine design) tanker truck model 1939. The design of the cab over the engine saved up space, allowing same load space in a smaller chassis.

The design was introduced in 1938, and in 1939 introduced also in the Netherlands Ford plant (Amsterdam 1932–1981), they were produced for different chassis length and with several different cargo areas.

Kit share one sprue with the Ford V-8 series kits (as ACE – 72585 – German V-8 model 51 truck) and introduce new parts for cab and tanker. PE parts are also new. Instructions sheet suggests a Luftwaffe marking, Several pictures identify the model in Luftwaffe service as the kit depicts, dated 1941, decal sheet just include generic plate and symbols without military symbols.
