The B-4 203mm howitzer, nicknamed “Stalin’s Sledgehammer,” was one of the most powerful artillery pieces used by the Soviet Union during World War II. Mounted on a tracked chassis for better mobility, the B-4 was designed to destroy fortified positions, bunkers, and enemy strongpoints with devastating high-explosive shells. Its massive 203mm caliber gave it unmatched destructive power, making it a key weapon in the Red Army’s siege operations, especially during battles like Leningrad, Sevastopol, and Berlin. In 1/72 scale, the B-4 stands out as an impressive and iconic addition to any Eastern Front artillery collection.

They shared the same tracked carriage, officially called the M1931 or M1931/37 carriage, which allowed interchangeability and simplified transport and production, with the BR-2 or BR-5 guns, previously released by ACE too (see related kits sections) and so the kit shares some sprue with those past releases. Include rubber tracks and a small PE (photo-etched) sheet.
