Long Range Desert Group Patrol Car
w/2cm Cannon

The Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) used several different vehicles during its life, mostly Chevrolet 30 cwt, Ford 15 cwt F15 and CMP Ford 30 cwt F30 that replaced the Chevrolets 30.

What Dragon depicts here (and in the brother kit Dragon – 7439 – Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) Patrol Car w/Lewis Gun) is the Chevrolet 30 cwt. These vehicles were fitted with many different weapons configurations, the kit has chosen an Italian (captured) 20mm Breda Model 35, an excellent weapon which already proved its performance during the Spanish Civil War where also was very appreciated.
