Tooled in 1974, and although doesn’t share any sprue with the ESCI – 8330 – 8008 – KoenigTiger (KingTiger) kit, it shares lot of the parts, worked in a new mould and different arranged sprue, plus the specific parts of the Jagdtiger.

The main problem of the kit are the wheels and tracks, corrected partially with the link and length tracks present in the ESCI-Ertl or Italeri reissues, but it doesn’t fix the problem of the wheels. Also the problem of the single piece side-skirts is present in this kit. The kit keeps three figures, though the full commander figure slightly changed its pose. ESCI reused the KingTiger kit chassis, and this introduced a small accuracy problem, as the Jagdtiger chassis was elongated.

It was not till 2004 and 2008 when Dragon and Trumpeter respectively released their own kits for the Jagdtiger in 1/72 scale that there was no option to replace the ESCI kit, which with some flaws, is a very decent kit.
