ESCI-Ertl layout with link and length tracks

Elephant (Elefant)

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII tank destroyer Elefant (Panzerjäger Tiger (P)) build over the available chassis of the discarded Tiger (P) project.

The kit is correct with flaws of the road wheels and tracks, specially the vinyl single piece one of original ESCI release, not replaced till the ESCI-Ertl release in 1989 and kept in the later Italeri reissue. Because the wheels moulding, is not easy to adapt other existing tracks. As happens with other ESCI kit, there are some visible ejection pins marks, noticeable in this kit, there is one in the main gun.

Over the time, both Dragon or Trumpeter produced better kits for the same topic, the German Sd.Kfz. 184 in 1/72 scale.
