IBG – 72122 – M11/39 Italian Medium Tank

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of an Italian WWII medium tank Carro Armato M11/39, a design with a 37mm main gun fixed in the hull (due the lack of space in the turret), with a traversing limited to 15º. The turret housed twin 8mm machine guns.

Around 100 units were produced of this model, mainly used in Africa, but some examples also operating in Italy until 1944. Though was not a very successful model its design was the basis for the bigger M13/40 (IBG – 72125 – M13/40 Italian Tank Late Production), M14/41 and M15/42 models which formed the main bulk of the Italian tanks during WWII.
