The GTK Boxer (Gepanzertes Transport-Kraftfahrzeug) is a highly versatile 8×8 armored fighting vehicle developed by ARTEC GmbH, a joint venture between Rheinmetall and KNDS Deutschland. Designed for modularity, the Boxer comprises a drive module and interchangeable mission modules, allowing it to fulfill various roles such as troop transport, command post, ambulance, and infantry fighting vehicle (IFV). Powered by an MTU 8V199 TE20 diesel engine producing up to 720 horsepower, it achieves speeds up to 103 km/h and has a range of approximately 1,050 km. The vehicle’s advanced armor system, including AMAP (Advanced Modular Armour Protection), provides high levels of protection against ballistic threats, mines, and improvised explosive devices. Its modular design enables rapid reconfiguration to meet diverse operational requirements.

In German military terminology, sgSANKfz stands for:

The kit is a 2025 update of the 2014 tooled kit. New parts are required to build this new variant in the series but kit shares lot of parts (from a total of 111 parts) with previous variants.

While the kit provides a solid representation of the Boxer, some modelers may opt for aftermarket accessories to enhance details such as wheels and surface textures.
