S-Model – PS720200 – BMP-2 IFV Early Production

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet BMP-2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) early production variant.

BMP-2 is an upgraded design of the previous BMP-1 with emphasis in improve the main weapons. The commander now occupies an enlarged, two-man turret alongside the gunner. The armament has been upgraded to feature the 2A42 30 mm autocannon and the 9P135M ATGM launcher, capable of firing SACLOS-guided 9M111 “Fagot” (AT-4 Spigot), 9M113 “Konkurs” (AT-5 Spandrel), and 9M113M “Konkurs-M” (AT-5B Spandrel B) anti-tank missiles. The troop capacity has been reduced from eight to seven, and the number of rear infantry roof hatches has decreased from four to two. Additionally, the armor has undergone slight improvements.

Box contains two full models inside, include PE (photo-etched) detail parts and decal sheet with several possible markings, from Soviet, Russian, Czechoslovak or East Germany.
