S-Model – SP072018 – L3/33 Flame Tank

Description:

The L3/33 Flame Tank (L3 Lanciafiamme) was a flamethrower variant of the Italian L3/33 tankette, developed during the 1930s and used in World War II. It was designed to provide close-range support by using a flamethrower to clear enemy fortifications and troops.

The flamethrower replaced the standard twin-machine gun armament, fuel tank (for the flamethrower) was typically carried in a trailer towed behind the vehicle, though some versions had it “internally” as this kit depicts, though one of the variants, just mount an external barrel in the rear, which can’t be consider an internal fuel tank.

Update of kit S-Model – PS720002 – Italian L3/33 Light Tank, one of the first kits released by S-Model, with new parts for flame tank variants. Box contains two models inside and they can be transformed in two different versions of the flame variant as the box cover shows. Kit also use parts seen on S-Model – PS720004 – L3/33 Lf Flame tank & Trailer.
