M1070 Gun Truck

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Heavy transport truck Oshkosh M1070 in a filed modification version Gun Truck quickly developed during the 2003 Iraq War.

The M1070 Gun Truck refers to a specific type of military vehicle used by the United States Armed Forces, particularly during the Iraq War. The M1070 is primarily known as a Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) and is designed to transport and recover tanks and other heavy tracked and wheeled vehicles.

To improve the defense of convoys, subject to insurgent attacks during the Iraq War (2003), some M1070 were reequipped as Gun trucks, adding a urban survivability kit (HUSK) mainly consisting of an armored cab with anti-fragmentation floor. In the cargo area armored gun pits were added.

Kit includes PE parts, rubber wheels and decal sheet with one single marking. The kit is an upgrade/variant of kit Takom – 5002 – M1070 & M1000 w/D9R tooled in 2018.
