Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet BM-30 Smerch multiple rocket launcher.

The BM-30 Smerch (Russian: Смерч, meaning “tornado” or “whirlwind”), also known as 9K58 Smerch or 9A52-2 Smerch-M, represents a robust self-propelled multiple rocket launcher with a caliber of 300 mm.

This artillery system is specifically engineered to launch a full load of 12 solid-fueled projectiles. Devised in the early 1980s, its primary objective is to engage personnel, armored vehicles, and soft targets situated in concentration areas, as well as to neutralize artillery batteries, command posts, and ammunition depots. The BM-30 Smerch officially entered service with the Soviet Army in 1989. It uses the MAZ-543M heavy truck chassis.

Newly tooled kit in 2023 with over 300 parts. Wheels are made of rubber.

Include decal sheet with five different markings including Syrian, Armenian, Kuwaiti and two Russian markings.
