Roman Fort

Airfix had released the Roman soldiers in 1967, Airfix – A01730 – Romans, but it was two years later that Airfix added an enemy, Airfix – 01734 – Ancient Britons, and 1969 was also the year when the Roman Fort appeared for first time, both as stand alone fort, and as a Playset entitled Caesar’s Gate including one copy of each of the figure sets and the fort.

Though simplified and out-scaled, the fort is a good depiction of one of the forts in the Adrian’s Wall.

A classic set in the hobby history, many times issued in the past, it’s a collector piece today, not an easy to find product.
