Description:
Yokosuka E14Y Type 0
Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Japanese WWII Yokosuka E14Y (Allied reporting name Glen), a submarine based carried reconnaissance seaplane. It had folding wings and fabric cover to reduce weight. Was transported in a watertight capsule attached to the deck of the submarine.
The type has some distinctions as being the only Japanese aircraft to overfly New Zealand during WWII or to bomb U.S. mainland, both actions from the Japanese submarine I-25.
Kit includes decal sheet with two markings and catapult parts.
