Italeri shared today a preview of their 2022 range which includes a well bunch of 1/72 scale model kits. Sadly, the word “100% New Molds” don’t appear often in the 1/72 kits.
All together, it’s interesting to know what we can expect from Italian brand for this year. Attached below you can find the PDF file they shared and let’s highlight some of the content.
The most large range in 1/72 scale, goes, as expected, for the Aircraft section, we want to bring your attention to the following kits (check the catalogue because there are more):
- 1412 – S.M.79 Sparviero
- 1445 – F/A 18E Super Hornet “Top Gun”
- 1440 – Tu-22M3 Backfire C
- 1460 – AMX “Ghibli” single seat – 100% NEW MOULDS.
- 1461 – MB 339 P.A.N. 60th Anniversary, this one includes 3 full kits and decals with 6 special markings.
- 1462 – Stirling Mk.III
- 1432 – Mil Mi-24P / Mil Mi-35P
- 1458 – OH-13 Sioux Korean War
- Italeri – 1423 – P-51A Mustang
- Italeri – 1236 – FRS.1 SEA HARRIER
- Italeri – 1441 – F-5A Freedom Fighter
- Italeri – 0106 – Caproni Ca. 313/314 Vintage Special Anniversary Edition
Only a single 1/72 scale aircraft kit has been labelled as “new tooled” in the catalogue which is not great, but…
The vehicles and figures section is even less exciting, the only thing with figures is the recently released Italeri – 6198 – Montecassino Abbey 1944 Breaking the Gustav Line (Battle Set) and some other oldies will be back as Italeri – 7018 – Panther Ausf. A, Italeri – 7034 – Sd. Kfz. 250/3 (we like this one, despite its tracks) or 7079 – Sd.Kfz. 251 /10 which is interesting, but not new.
And that’s all in this preview. Let’s hope Italeri is hiding some surprise for the year, the year of their 60th anniversary.
As long as the new kits appear, of course we’ll add them.
