Hasegawa’s 1/72 scale kit faithfully recreates the Battroid mode of the VF-0, the advanced variable fighter featured in the OVA Macross Zero as the latest weapon of the UN Forces. The kit is molded in three colors—white, gray, and clear—and is engineered for mostly glue-free assembly, with the exception of a few clear parts. Builders can choose between the S-type and A-type heads, and the use of large polycaps ensures strong, articulated joints throughout, essential for a figure that’s noticeably larger than the VF-1.

The wings can be extended outward, the hands feature movable fingers, and the leg-mounted Fast Packs, seen as standard equipment in the show, are included as optional parts. A Gunpod is also provided for armament. While the kit does not include a display stand, it comes with decals for two marking options: the VF-0S flown by Roy Focker of Skull Squadron, and a standard VF-0A in UN Forces colors. With its dynamic poseability and sharp design, this kit brings the power and presence of the VF-0 to life for any Macross fan or mecha modeler.
