MPC – MPC791 – Space: 1999 Eagle 1 Transporter (1975 Edition 1/96 Scale)

Eagle 1 transporter space craft from Space: 1999 Sci-Fi universe, started with the TV series aired from 1975 to 1977.

This kit is an original MPC kit tooled in 1975 while the first season of the TV series was aired. Same set without changes was also issued under Airfix brand and AMT/Ertl. Under the management of Round2Corp the kit was reissued in 2013 by the renewed MPC brand and also issued in a deluxe version a couple of years later (MPC – MPC816 – Space 1999 Eagle-1 Deluxe Edition).

The original kit usually was cast in white color, the newer reissue in light grey. It’s a basic kit, and though sold under 1/72 scale label in many occasions, it’s more close to 1/96 scale. Despite the basic of the kit, overall appearance is good, as well as some aftermarket products has been released over the time to improve its appearance. A good feature of the kit is the cargo pod, which can be attached to the transporter or not, allowing some variation on display.
