This box contains 48 figures in 15 different poses. Released in 1973 it’s a collector piece with little value nowadays as plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale for gamers or diorama builders.

In 2011 Airfix replaced this catalogue entry by Airfix – A01763 / A00763 – WWII British Infantry Northern Europe., the last original ever Airfix figure set in 1/72 scale. This later set, has been already released under the “Vintage Classics” line, using the same original box art of the 01703 code, causing confusion.

In the middle of both sets, as to increase confusion, using code A01762, Airfix releases a copy of the ESCI set, ESCI – 200 – World War II British Soldiers.
