Chintoys – CHT72001 – Persians at Marathon

Description:

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting Persian troops at Marathon battle (490 BC during the first Persian invasion of Greece).

The Battle of Marathon was a major Athenian victory (see Chintoys – CHT72002 – Greeks at Marathon) which ended the first Persian invasion of Greece.

Box contains 35 figures in 11 different poses, plus one statue (winged bull). The box contains, not confirmed yet, a sprue containing 6 figures in 6 poses repeated 5 times, while the other sprue, including 5 figures and the statue, is included only one time.

The common sprue, include three lancers, fitted with different shields, two archers and a man using an axe, while the unique sprue seems to include a commander, some religious figure and some auxiliar figure including a woman and an assistant with an umbrella.

Figures are really well proportioned and sculpted, with also a very good and clean cast. These are a very nice addition to the 1/72 scale figures line.
