Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Cold War project LRV (Lenticular Reentry Vehicle),a confirmed project which existed during 60s, according to declassified documents appeared in the late 90s. It’s not confirmed if it ever was build or flew, but designed.

AMP brings here an excellent topic proper of the best Sci-Fi classic films but which was real in the crazy nuclear race of the 50s and 60s. Lenticular shaped vehicles were already studied during 50s and proved to have particularly good reentry capabilities and several designs were studied and probably some build and tested. Research of the L.R.V. was conducted by North American Aviation in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base located in Ohio.

The kit itself seems to be pretty straight, with not many parts, a small decal sheet and a small clear part.
