Arma Hobby – 70062 – Hurricane Mk II D

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British WWII Hawker Hurricane fighter aircraft in a Mk II D variant, equipped with a pair of 40mm (1.57in) anti-tank autocannons housed in a gondola-style pod – one mounted under each wing – and featuring a single Browning machine gun in each wing, complemented by tracers for precise aiming. The inaugural flight occurred on 18 September 1941, with deliveries commencing in 1942. These aircraft boasted additional armor for the pilot, radiator, and engine, along with armament that initially included a Rolls-Royce gun with 12 rounds, later upgraded to the 40 mm (1.57 in) Vickers S gun with 15 rounds. To support increased maneuverability, the outer wing attachments underwent reinforcement, enabling the aircraft to withstand 4G forces at a weight of 8,540 lb (3,870 kg). However, the inclusion of weaponry and armor, albeit marginally, did affect the aircraft’s overall performance.

This kit is part of the Hurricane family by Arma Hobby tooled in 2018, updated with new parts, 3D printed, but also a carefully work need to be perform at your own in the wings, detailed in the instructions sheet you can find below this modifications required, making this kit not suitable for beginners. Kit include also canopy and wheels paint mask.
