Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German Messerschmitt Bf 109 early prototype (prototypes 13 and 14) in 1937.
In November 1937, the V13, fitted with a DB 601R race engine, set up a new world speed record in the Zürich airshow. The V14 (unarmed) also took part in the airshow.
Prototype V14, powered by a DB 601A engine and armed with a configuration of two 7.92mm MG 17s above the engine and one 20mm MG FF in each wing was selected as pre-production series E-0.
