Azur FRROM – FR0048 – Fairey Battle Mk.I “AASF”

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British WWII Fairey Battle light bomber. AASF stands for RAF Advanced Air Striking Force, referring to the British light bombers moved to France who took part in the Battle of France in 1940. During this campaign loss rates of the Fairey Battle were over 50% and by the end of the year (1940), production was halted and the type retired from front-line duties.

This release, as the other in the first batch of Azur FRROM Fairey Battle kit, is not an exception regarding markings, and despite what the tittle suggests, in the three markings included only one belongs to the British AASF, including also a RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) and a South African marking.
