Azur FRROM – FR0055 – Bloch MB 210 “Early”

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a French Bloch MB.210 bomber introduced in late 1936. Less than 300 units were produced and always suffered of underpowered engines even after 1937 update to Gnome-Rhône 14N engines. By 1940 the type was considered outdated for front line missions though it still was being used as night bomber.

For over 50 years the only available kit for this nice French bomber was the Heller tool dated in 1967, also issued under Směr or Sabre-Kits models with new decals. This new tool released in 2024 opens the door for a series of Bloch MB 210 releases with the good detail quality by Azur-FRROM and the excellent Special Hobby cast technology.

The kit is a high number of parts kit, with some PE detail, and not recommended for beginners. In particular wings fit and level with fuselage can be a challenge due the weight of the wings with the engines, as well as canopy paint will be a challenge. Kit include also a couple of small 3D printed parts. Complete the package a decal sheet with three French Markings, dated 1937 to 1939. Kit offers the initial production version equipped with Gnome-Rhône 14K radial engines.
