ESCI – 9013 – F-104 G “Tiger Meet”

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, a very successful aircraft of the late 50s, specially in the export market, with licensed builds in Canada, Italy and other countries.

After the success of the release the previous year of ESCI – 9007 – F-104 G/S Starfighter ESCI scheduled a number of variants basically playing with the options already tooled and updating decal sheets. The first release was this “Tiger Meet” kit, released in 1982, including two markings, one for a Canadian CF-104, CF-104 is the Canadian licensed build, with some change of parts, but the parts were already tooled and cast in the kits released in 1981, and a Belgian 1978 marking for the Kleine Brogel Airshow NATO “Tiger Meet” of 1978, which still is a popular topic in modeling by the vibrant camouflages that aircraft usually exhibit in this NATO air show that every year chose a different location.

The quality of the kit was exactly the same of the previous releases, check ESCI – 9007 – F-104 G/S Starfighter and ESCI – 9011 – Lockheed F-104 C “Starfighter” to learn more, as brief summary, it’s a decent kit that worth it to build. A small oddity of this particular release is that kit was cast in yellow color.
