ESCI – 9044 – “Red Indian” CF 104

Description:

The last of the ESCI F-104s was this 1985 kit, “Red Indian” CF 104, a variation of the ESCI – 9007 – F-104 G/S Starfighter kit with a new decal sheet, with a single marking, for an special Canadair CF-104 marking of the 421 Sqn (Red Indian) during 1983, celebrating 30 years of deployment at Baden Solligen in Germany. This kit was cast in a non easy all red color.

Worth it to mention that this marking was also included in the AMT release, Lockheed F-104 C/G Starfighter, code number 8759 and released in 1994. The AMT kit included three markings in total, all very nice, this Canadian “Red Indian”, a German Luftwaffe retirement marking, dated 1991, and a USAF marking for an early F-104A. The AMT kit included both the long and shorter tails, from kits ESCI – 9007 – F-104 G/S Starfighter and ESCI – 9011 – Lockheed F-104 C “Starfighter”.
