Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Japanese Mitsubishi F-15J, an all-weather air superiority fighter based on the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, produced under license and introduced in service in 1981.

Japanese F-15J/DJs are almost identical to U.S. F-15C/Ds aside from the ECM (Electronic Counter Measures), radar warning system, and nuclear equipment.

Newly tooled kit in 2023. As per release this kit is considered the best early F-15J model available in the market and in general the series is considered the best early F-15 J/DJs and C/Ds.

Fine Molds do again an exercise of excellence in the level of detail, engineering and cast quality with the develop of their new F-15 line for versions J/DJ and C/D.

Exhausts can be positioned with two options, cockpit’s instruments panels are provided with two options, flat to use decals or aftermarket 3D printed decals and with instruments molded, with a high level of detail.

One of the few criticism that kit has received is the election of the markings/paint schemes, and all grey rather than some special/commemorative marking. Decal sheet include 3 markings. Fine Molds themselves has developed several couple of aftermarket enhances products in their “nano aviation” line. Kit is compatible also with Fine Molds – FP39 – Japan Air Self-Defense Force Missile Set.
