VF-101 GRIM REAPERS F-14B
LIMITED EDITION

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of U.S. Grumman F-14 Tomcat multi-role fighter aircraft, B variant, an upgrade started in 1987, initially known as F-14A+ and later redesignated (1991) as F-14B.

2022 release with a special decal sheet of the kit tooled in 2019 and considered as a state of the art of the F-14 in 1/72 scale. The decal includes a marking from the Grim Reapers, Strike Fighter Squadron 101 (VFA-101), operative between 1952–2005 and 2012–2019. From 1988 to 2005 the squadron operated F-14s, all A/B and D variants, in the later period 2012 to 2019 the squadron operated the F-35C Lightning II.

*This squadron, the VF-101, was the last Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) of the U.S. Navy, in the period of 2000s until its disestablishment in 2005 with the retirement of the F-14s, featured markings for many of the previously disestablished squadrons such VF-1, VF-21, VF-24, VF-33, VF-74, VF-84, VF-111 and VF-142. At its speak, the squadron operated up to 130 F-14s.
