Shinmeiwa PS-1 Kai (US-1)

Plastic model kit unassembled in 1/72 scale of a Shin Meiwa US-1A, a Japanese amphibian air-sea rescue aircraft. PS-1 is the antisubmarine designation, while US-1A is the rescue designation. Introduced in the 70s the type has been retired of both services, the last active rescue plane was retired in 2017. Kai designation stands for improved PS-1, US-1 Kai, which in fact has entered service as ShinMaywa US-2.

Hasegawa kit features resin (main landing gear storage bulge and nose upper antenna) and metal parts (Large pitot tube).

Decals included allow two markings, one PS-1 and one US-1. Kit consists of 139 parts.
