The Gotha Go 244B-1 was a twin-engine German transport aircraft developed during World War II as a powered evolution of the Gotha Go 242 glider. What distinguished the B-1 variant was its use of two Gnome-Rhône 14M radial engines, a choice driven largely by availability, as these engines were captured from French stocks and were well-suited for non-frontline aircraft.
