Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) – CLK0015 – Avia S-92 “Vlaštovka”

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII jet fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Me 262, the first operational jet powered fighter aircraft in the world introduced in 1944, under a post-war Czechoslovak designation Avia S-92.

After the war, same that happened with the derivative of the Bf 109 (Avia S-199) Czechoslovak continued producing the Messerschmitt Me 262 using incomplete airframes and spare parts already produced during the war time, and was able to complete around 9 Me 262A fighters (designated Avia S-92) and three two-seat trainers (Avia CS-92).

The type was the first jet aircraft flew by the Czechoslovak air force, before replacement in 1951 by Soviet supplied fighters.

Originally this kit is based in the Směr, based in the Heller kit tooled in 1974. KP adds a new decal sheet with 3 Czechoslovak markings.
