Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Russian Ilyushin IL-10 ground attack aircraft.

The Ilyushin Il-10 was a Soviet ground-attack aircraft developed during the final years of World War II as a successor to the famous Il-2 Sturmovik. Designed for better speed, armor protection, and firepower, it featured a more powerful AM-42 engine, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced defensive armament. Entering service in 1944, the Il-10 played a crucial role in the last battles of the war and remained a key component of Soviet and allied air forces for years.

The B-33 was a Czechoslovak-built version of the Il-10, produced under license by Avia from 1951 to 1955. It was nearly identical to the Soviet model but featured some locally adapted components. The B-33 served extensively in the Czechoslovak Air Force, as well as in other Warsaw Pact nations, and was used until the late 1950s before being phased out in favor of jet-powered aircraft.

Known for its rugged construction, heavy armor, and powerful armament, the Il-10/B-33 proved to be a formidable ground-attack platform, capable of withstanding intense enemy fire while delivering effective strikes against tanks, infantry, and fortifications. Though it was soon overshadowed by the rise of jet aircraft, its impact on post-war Soviet and allied air forces was significant.

Kit is part of the “High Tech” line, including 3D printed parts and (self adhesive) paint mask. Decal sheet include 4 different markings, with Polish, Czechoslovak, Hungarian and Soviet. Plastic parts are just around 49 parts. In the 3D printed parts we can find wheels and some other minor details.

Worth it to mention that despite KP tooled its own IL-10 kit in the 70s (used in the Smer or Mistercraft releases) this kit is based on the better Fly moulds, tooled in 2017.
