Description:
Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Czechoslovak Avia BH-9 sports aircraft developed in the 20s.
In 1923, Czechoslovakia unveiled the Avia BH-9, a twin-seat sports aircraft derived from the BH-5. Continuing the BH-1 lineage’s trend, the BH-9 boasted a low-wing braced monoplane configuration, featuring tandem open cockpits for the pilot and passenger. To accommodate a higher-power engine, the BH-9 underwent structural enhancements, marking the debut of a domestically-produced powerplant.
While initially designed as a twin-seat aircraft, at least one BH-9 (registered as L-BONF) was converted into a single-seater. Recognizing its potential, the Czechoslovakian Army expressed interest in the BH-9 for training and liaison duties, procuring ten units designated as B.9.
Update with new decal sheet of BH-9 kit tooled in 2017 by KP, include 4 Czechoslovak markings both civilian and military.
