Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) – KPM0451 – Nieuport Ni-16 “Aces”

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a French World War I fighter aircraft Nieuport 16, and improved variant of the Nieuport 11 with a more powerful engine (Le Rhône 9J ) and strengthened airframe, with little visual differences between, just a a headrest for the pilot and a larger aperture in front of the “horseshoe” cowling. Some licensed productions of the Nieuport 11 also added a headrest, and since the cowling aperture is almost only noticeable in front views of the aircraft, this make very difficult the identification of the aircrafts in many pictures.

After release the Nieuport 11, Kovozávody adds new parts for engine, cowling and the upper fuselage part with headrest to release this Nieuport 16 kit. This first release include a decal sheet with 3 French markings.
