Messerschmitt Me-262 “Blitzbomber”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII jet fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Me 262, the world first operational jet aircraft, also used as fighter-bomber during the war.

The term “Blitzbomber” is usually given to a “pure” bomber variant of the Me 262, Me 262 A-2a “Sturmvogel” (“Storm Bird“) which only retained two 30mm guns to increase the weight of the bombs payload.

This is an original FROG kit tooled in 1972 that Matchbox released under its brand in 1996, with a new decal sheet. This kit doesn’t use same parts than Matchbox – PK-21 (40021) – Messerschmitt Me 262.
