Special Hobby – SH72489 – CASA C-212-300/400 “Long Nosed Casas”

Description:

Un assembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Spanish CASA C-212 STOL (Short takeoff and landing) transport aircraft manufactured since 70s and still produced in Indonesia under license by IPTN. The type has been very successful with over 90 operators worldwide from both civilian and military world.

CASA-C212 has been produced in many specific variants depending on the role of the Aircraft, and upgraded during the many years it has been in production. Variant C-212-300 was the standard production variant since late 80s, while the C-212-400 versions was introduced as replacement/upgrade in the late 90s, with upgraded engines, increased payload and upgraded avionics, which also were moved from under the floor to the nose, increasing its size and giving the nickname of “Long Nosed” as a very visual difference of the previous production variants.

Kit includes a decal sheet with three markings, for Argentinian, Venezuelan and South African operated aircrafts. Includes a small 3D printed detail parts.

Kit originally tooled in 2017 by Special Hobby, upgraded several times since then.
