ESCI – 9102 – C130H Hercules (C-130H)

Description:

Together with the Gunship version (ESCI – 9101 – AC-130H Spectre II) ESCI released the more conventional cargo variant in 1990 and it shared the same problems of the Gunship variant, misshaped nose, wrong overall size, wrong panels shape in canopy and fitting problems here and there.

While the Gunship variant of the AC-130H had less serious competence, the cargo C-130H got more competence over the years, and the old ESCI kit has been relegated by later Italeri releases based in their initial C-130A tool. Main differences between C-130A and C-130H are the big external fuel tanks under wings (introduced in C-130E variant) and more powerful engine.

The ESCI kit included an interesting decal sheet with 4 markings, for United States, Australian, Italian and Spanish markings.
