Special Hobby – SH72502 – P-40N Warhawk “Island Warriors”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter-bomber introduced in 1938 and produced in almost 14000 units, being the third more produced U.S. fighter of the war. Its limitations on high altitude relegated it to operate in Mediterranean, African and Asian/Pacific theaters, were combats at high altitude were less crucial as in west/north Europe.

P-40N was the last production variant of the aircraft, produced between 1943 and 1944, with several design modifications and mainly operated as fighter-bomber and close support aircraft at the time.

Special Hobby has a large number of Curtiss P-40 Warhawk kit in their history, this new release in 2024 just adds a new decal sheet to the series with four U.S. markings. The base of the kit is an original tool by Special Hobby from 2008, updated several times since then and widely released by the brand and once under Eduard brand.
