AW Albemarle ST Mk.II / GT Mk.I

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British WWII Armstrong Whitworth Albemarle transport aircraft.

Originally developed as medium bomber, its entrance in service was delayed due design problems. As more capable bombers were already in service the type was relegated to transport and glider tug roles. Was introduced in early 1943 and over 600 units were built.

GT or ST were the designations for Special Transport or General Transport. The type was capable of carry ten full equipped paratroops.

Kit includes PE and resin detail parts. Decal sheet included contains 3 different markings. One for SIcily 1943, one for Normandy 1944 and one more for a prototype.
