ESCI playset in 1/72 scale including the following models and plastic soldiers:

• M12 (ESCI – 8362 – 8029 – M12 Self Propelled Gun (155mm Gun Motor Carriage M-12))
• Dodge Truck (ESCI – 8358 – 8040 – U.S. M6 with 37mm gun (U.S. 37mm. Gun Motor Carriage MG))
• US Infantry (ESCI – 8016 – U.S. Soldiers (Marine Corps))
• Japanese Infantry (ESCI – 8061 – World War II Japanese Imperial Guard)
• U.S. Iwo-Jima Flag Raising (ESCI – 8062 – Iwo-Jima Marines Landing)

Together with this kits, the playset included a vacuform base and a copy of the diorama accessories set, ESCI – 8060 – Diorama Accessories.

At some point in the 80s, ESCI started to replace the hard-plastic multi-part figure sets by the newer soft plastic soldiers, in this case ESCI – 204 – World War II Japanese Soldiers and ESCI – 202 – World War II U.S. Soldiers. While this did not happen for every “Diorama” playset from the series 2000, there are enough images on the net that suggests that this particular set was updated in the 80s, and if any, both variants can appear for sale.
