Playset containing figures and scale models in 1/72 scale, WWII themed, in particular during the winter of 1944 in the western front.

Italeri repacks some of their existing line of 1/72 scale figures and vehicles with a new MDF laser cut building in this battle set commemorating 80 years of the Battle of the Bulge, in particular in the events around the key city of Bastogne.

Each sprue of the German infantry contains 12 figures in 12 different poses, they belong to the last original Italeri ever tooled 1/72 scale figure set, released in 2014. The original set included 3 sprue with 36 figures in total, but only 2 sprue and 24 figures are included here.

The U.S. Infantry set was released in 2010, with a similar format, 12 figures in 12 poses per sprue and 3 x sprue in the box, and the full set has been included here, with 36 figures in total.

The two “easy build” kits included here were released much ago, originally 2 models were included in the boxes but here just one model has been issued, we speak about the M4A3E2 Jumbo and PZ. KPFW. V PANTHER AUSF. G, both are super easy to build kits with few parts, around 13-14 parts per model, with single piece for tracks and wheels together, kind of models liked by wargamers and considered toys by modelers.

The battlefield accessories set is a very old set originally released under ESCI label in the 80s or late 70s, it contains some useful pieces and the kit adds a decal sheet suitable for Bastogne 1944 to label the road signs included in the set. This decal sheet, together with the MDF laser cut building is the only really new in the set.

About the building itself, well, it’s time ago that Italeri is issuing this buildings in their play-sets, they usually turn out into nice pieces of scenery for games, but again they are not very liked items by modelers. In this case the model depicts a ruined corner house, European style, that can fit in the subject of the box. We in particular are not fans of this models as modeler, but for games set up they really can improve a lot the game area with not so much effort as would require make a fine model depicting the same.
